Lehman, Loramie playersnamed to all-NWCC team

Fort Loramie and Lehman were well-represented on the All-Northwest Central Conference football squad, announced recently.

From Loramie, which was league co-champion along with Riverside, Jacob Kitzmiller was named first team at guard, Dylan Eilerman at tackle, and Drew Wehrman at running back on offense.

On defense, meanwhile, Nate Pleiman was named as a lineman and Cody Gasson as the punter. Pleiman had 12 sacks this season for the Redskins

Second team picks included lineman Frank Meyer, linebacker Dan Berning, defensive back Brad Pleiman and kicker Josh Siegel on defense.

Lehman quarterback Stephen Monnin was named to the first team along with tight end Brandon Barhorst. End Dylan Arnold and running back Jake Earhart were named to the second team.

On defense, lineman Michael Bunker, defensive back Owen Smith and kicker Ian Smith were named to the first team defense, along with Earhart at linebacker.

Monnin had 915 yards rushing and throw for another 1,304 for the Cavaliers this season. On defense, Bunker had eight sacks this season.

Riverside took the top awards. Connor Cotterman was named the Offensive Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year, and head coach Tim McGill was named the Coach of the Year after leading the Pirates to a 9-1 record and a co-championship in the NWCC.

Cotterman was first team at both running back and linebacker. He finished the regular season with 1,530 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns, and also had 93 tackles on defense, including 56 solo.

Also named to the first team from Riverside were center Trey Long, guard Hunter Kreglow, and Cotterman on offense, and lineman Gaven Anderson, Cotterman at linebacker and Shawn Crawford at defensive back.

Second-team selections include guard Logan Parker, tight end Hank Harshbarger and running back Hayden Robinson on offense, and lineman Blake Sacks, linebacker Jon Norris and defensive back Shae Crawford on defense.

Honorable mention

Each league team had three players named to the honorable mention list.

From Lehman, the three were Wyatt Long, Collin Haller and Jared Rourke.

From Loramie, they included Wes Puthoff, Blake Gaier and Jarrett Meyer.

And from Riverside, the three were Joey Kaeck, Peyton Scherer and Jesse Kean
