Local bowler sets new house record

Local bowler Joe Green had the best night of his impressive career last Tuesday in the Bel-Mar Major League, breaking the house record with an 845 series.

He had games of 255, 300 and 290 to break the previous house record of 843 set by Keith Frick.

His perfect game was the 12th of his career and he now has reached 800 in a series 10 times.

He has a 245 average, tops in the area.

Also, Kegan Latimer rolled his third 300 game in two weeks in the Saturday Nighters League. He had games of 213 and 212 to start out, then rolled his 300 for a 715 series.

He now has six 300 games in his young career and an average of 235.

Brad Teague bowled the first 300 game of his career last Tuesday night, also in the Major League. He rolled a 180 and a 123 sandwiched around the 300 for a 603 series, and is now averaging 201.

Bel-Mar has now had eight 300 games bowled this season.

Meanwhile, in the Junior Boys/Girls League, Heather Gold had an outstanding day recently, bowling a 687 series on games of 198, 244 and 245. She is now averaging 189.
