Police find heroin at home; arrest woman

SIDNEY — Police found drugs, drug paraphernalia, cash and a handgun at a home Thursday morning and arrested a woman who lives there.

About 9:14 a.m., investigators and officers from the Sidney Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 228 E. Bennett St., Capt. Jerry Tangeman said. Recovered during the search were marijuana, heroin, drug paraphernalia, cash and a handgun. Police arrested Caroline Schroer, 34, who resides at the Bennett Street residence. Schroer is charged with one count of trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony. As a result of the charges, Schroer was incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail.

This warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney, Tangeman said. Information resulting in this warrant was derived in part from concerned citizens.
