WDTN Channel 2 meteorologist Tara Hastings stopped by Northwood Elementary to speak to students about her job as a meteorologist! Northwood’s first grade classes are currently doing a reading and science unit on weather. Hastings shared about the instruments meteorologists use to help predict the weather, the difference between weather watches and warnings, what to do in the event of severe weather, and some weather-related stories.
