SIDNEY — Police arrested one person and are looking for two others after executing a narcotics search warrant at a Sidney residence Tuesday morning.
About 7:45 a.m., investigators and officers from the Sidney and Piqua Police departments executed a narcotics search warrant at 323 Franklin Ave. Due to elevated risk factors, the warrant was executed by Tactical Response Team officers, Sidney Police Capt. Jerry Tangeman said.
During the search, investigators recovered caps of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Arrested on an outstanding warrant for receiving stolen property was Billie M. Bliss, 32, an occupant at the Franklin Avenue residence. As a result of an ongoing drug investigation, two other occupants of the residence, Travis W. Brown, 31, and Michelle L. McMartin, 25, who were not present during the warrant execution, are wanted after arrest warrants were filed in Sidney Municipal Court. They both are wanted on one count each of drug trafficking, a fourth-degree felony. Anyone with information about their whereabouts should contact the Sidney Police Department at 937-498-2351.
This warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney. Information resulting in this warrant was derived in part from concerned citizens. Citizens who have information about drug activity are asked to contact the Sidney Police Department at 937-498-8777 or Crime Stoppers at 937-492-8477 (TIPS).
