SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic High School will begin their graduation weekend celebration with a Baccalaureate Mass on Friday, May 27, at 7 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Piqua.

Commencement will be held Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at the Schlater Family Gymnasium at Lehman Catholic High School.

Lehman Catholic’s Class of 2022 valedictorian is Adith Joshua George, son of Ramayya and Glory George of Sidney. He will graduate from Lehman Catholic High School and has earned 33 Carnegie Units of Credit. He will be attending Purdue University where he will be majoring in Data Science.

Lehman Catholic’s Class of 2022 Salutatorian is Agnes Clare Schmiesing, daughter of Kevin and Anne Schmiesing of Sidney. She will graduate from Lehman Catholic High School and has earned 31 Carnegie Units of Credit. Agnes will be attending Fransiscan University of Steubenville where she will be majoring in Anthropology.

Department Medallions awarded for being the top student, over the past four years, who exemplifies high academic achievement, along with participation in a number of department courses and department extra-curricular activities include: Art: Colleen O’ Leary; Industrial Technology: Molly Greene; English: Adith George; Foreign Language: Agnes Schmiesing; Industrial Technology: Molly Greene; Mathematics: Adith George; Music: Alexis Bollinger; Theology: Colleen O’Leary; Science: Adith George; and Social Studies: Agnes Schmiesing.

Citizenship awards presented will be:

Outstanding Classmate: Christian Clouse, was selected by his classmates for his qualities of being kind, caring, and showing leadership.

Outstanding Male: John Gagnet, was selected by faculty and staff for living out the mission of Lehman and showing true school spirit.

Outstanding Female: Colleen O’Leary, was selected by faculty and staff for living out the mission of Lehman and showing true school spirit.

The class colors are blue and gold. The class flower is the white rose. The class motto is “Gone but not forgotten.” The class theme is All things are possible.
