ANNA — Seven young women are vying for the title of 2015 Anna Homecoming queen.

The pageant will be held Friday, June 19, at 7 p.m. at Anna Elementary School. This year’s theme is “The Roaring ’20s.” The cost of admission is $3 per person.

The contestants for this year’s pageant are:

• Mackenzie Wells is the daughter of Jerry and Maryann Wells. She will be escorted by Cody Flesher, son of Dana and Teresa Flesher. Her sponsor is Wells Brothers and her talent is gymnastics

• Ashley Dentinger is the daughter of Paul and Christie Dentinger. Her escort is Kain Luthman, son of Alan and Kathy Luthman. Her sponsor is Dr. Huskey at Village Green Dental. Her talent is tap dancing.

• Chelsea Kerns is the daughter of Tony and Elaine Kerns and Angela Smith and Steve Salyer. She will be escorted by Connor Rioch, son of Bryan and Julie Rioch. Her sponsor is Steve Salyer from Salyer Builders. Her talent is painting.

• Nicole Smith is the daughter of Michael and Donna Smith. Her escort is Nathan Bulle, son of Mark and Tina Bulle. Her sponsor is Kelly Knouff with Advocare. Her talent is singing and playing the clarinet.

• Caileigh Kirtley is the daughter of Marc and Jennifer Kirtley. She will be escorted by Carter Huelskamp, son of Chad and Tonya Huelskamp. Her sponsor is Baker Chiropractic LLC and her talent is dancing.

• Courtney Doseck is the daughter of Kevin and Cathy Doseck. Her escort will be Eric Heidemann, son of Sherri and Bill Heidemann. Her sponsor is Dee’s Beauty Shop. Her talent is photography.

• Mindy Schmitmeyer is the daughter of Gary and Kelly Schmitmeyer. She will be escorted by Blake Stephens, son of Ed and Theresa Stephens. Her sponsor is Schulze Insurance. Her talent is singing and playing the piano.

The princess for homecoming is Cadence Berning, daughter of Dennis and Kristi Berning. The prince is Rhylan Platfoot, son of Dan and Carly Platfoot.

The judges will be selecting a queen, first runner-up and second runner-up. The contestants will be crowned by the 2014 queen, Sarah Steinbrunner.

The contest includes a formal modeling portion with questions and a talent for each contestant. There will be entertainment featuring five dances at the end while the scores are being calculated.

The Anna Homecoming Pageant committee includes: Ashley Reaman, Jessica Billing and Kelly Billing, all from Anna.
