Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY —The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Monday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m. in council chambers.

The board will consider the conditional use permit request of Shon Kemp for an accessory structure square footage over 1,000 square feet prescribed in the zoning code at 2433 Millcreek Road in the single family residence district.

The board will also consider the requests of Garmann/Miller, on behalf of Shelby County, for the approval of an expansion of a non-conforming use for a transitional housing facility 555 Gearhart Road in the community business district.

Sidney City Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Planning Commission will meet on Monday, Sept. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

The commission will elect new chair and vice chair positions.

The commission will consider the request of Love’s Travel Stop, on behalf of Charles Cole, for the replat to create two new lots southeast of the intersection of Fair Road and Vandemark Road in the community business and general industrial districts.

Shelby County Board of Elections

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Board of Elections will meet Monday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 a.m. at the board office. Items on the agenda include the procedures for handling the E-Pollbooks, petition instruction sheet updates, allocation of M100 to polling locations, an update on the sale of the Veterans of Foreign Wars building and land, conference information and an executive session to discuss security operations.

Sidney Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Schools Board of Education will meet Monday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. at the board of education office. Mike Burns will make a presentation to the board about the bond refinance program. The board is expected to approve a transfer from the bond retirement fund to the permanent improvement fund in the amount of $1,540,000, pending approval of the Shelby County Budget Commission. Also on the agenda, the board will act on two tax sharing agreements with Freshway Foods and Perfection Bakeries. Numerous personnel items are also on the agenda.

Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education

PIQUA — The Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education will meet Monday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. in the Adams Board Room.

Reports to the board will be presented by board President Maria Brewer, board member Eric Ditmeer and Superintendent Dr. Nancy Luce. Other items on the agenda include accepting donations, approving various trips for staff and students and personnel items.

Fort Loramie Board of Education

FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Local Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session, Monday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m., in the media center.

The board will consider the adoption of a resolution concerning annual appropriations, a lease agreement with Cheer Barn and nonroutine use of buses, accept donations, accept resignations and approve employment contracts before moving into executive session.

Hardin-Houston Board of Education

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Local School District Board of Education will meet in regular session, Monday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m., in the media center.

The board will consider monthly financial reports, expenditures, bus fuel bids and personnel issues, as well as move to approve the 2017-18 Houston High School and Elementary School goals.

New Bremen Board of Education

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Board of Education will meet in regular session, Monday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m.

The board will consider 2017-2018 temporary appropriations, bus schedules, the career advising policy and a personal day for wellness and hear reports about the new building and school enrollment before moving into executive session to discuss a property sale or purchase.

Miami Conservancy District Board of Directors

DAYTON — The Board of Directors of The Miami Conservancy District and its subdistricts will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at Miami Conservancy District located at 38 E. Monument Ave., Dayton. The meeting will be preceded by a work session starting at 10 a.m.

Sidney Citizens Peer Review Committee

SIDNEY — The Sidney Citizens Peer Review Committee will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 4 p.m. in City Hall to review applications for the annual Beautification Award.

Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health

SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health will meet in regular session, Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Health Department Conference Room, 202 W. Poplar St.

The board will consider a household sewage treatment system variance request, a condemnation order, orders to remain vacant and a harm-reduction program.
