CARROLLTON, Ga. — Joseph N. “Joe” Buroker, of Carrollton, Georgia, formerly of Sidney, will celebrate his 95th birthday, July 12, 2016.

He was born July 12, 1921, in Urbana. He and his wife, Jean, have two living sons, Gary Buroker, of lakeview, and Tony Buroker, of Carrollton, Georgia. Another son, Ronald, is deceased. They have seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Buroker worked at Copeland Corp. for 19 years and then served as a Shelby County Sheriff’s deputy for 19 years.

He attended the First United Methodist Church in Sidney and enjoys fishing and golf.
