All invited to come enjoy Christmas cantata Sunday

To the editor:

Are you feeling too tired and stressed to be thinking about the real reason for Christmas this year? Do you need a break to concentrate on the perfect gift of Jesus, the light of the world?

If you are, I have the perfect suggestion for you. Sidney First Methodist Church Choir has been working hard on its Christmas cantata for this year. It is called “And Glory Shone Around.” It has both some new and some familiar carols to enjoy as we celebrate the birth of the Christ child.

The writers of the cantata state, “It is our prayer that your Christmas will be filled with joy and hope as we honor Love’s perfect light — Jesus.” That’s our hope for you also.

We hope you will come and be blessed as you take time to celebrate the real reason for Christmas with us. Everyone is welcome.

The cantata will be presented at both services at 9 and 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, at Sidney First Methodist Church at 230 E. Poplar St., Sidney.

We wish you all blessings as we celebrate the best Christmas gift of all — the birth of Jesus.

Mary Stahlman
