ANNA — The majority of Anna fall sports athletes were honored at a banquet Monday night at the high school, including volleyball, boys and girls cross country, golf and girls soccer.

The football banquet will be held on Sunday.

In volleyball, Krista Gehret was the top award-winner. She was named Most Valuable Player and also Best Offensive Player.

Carly Becker was named Best Defensive Player and Ally Bertke received the Coaches Award.

In golf, there were two special awards. Zach Watren was named MVP after being the team’s medalist, and Eli Kuck was Most Improved Player.

In girls cross country, the Most Valuable Runner award went to Gracen Rogers and the MAGIC Award to Susan Jones.

And in boys cross country, Lucas Huber was named Most Valuable Runner and Sam Watercutter received the MAGIC Award.

The Anna boys team qualified for the state meet.

In soccer, Anna had an outstanding season, finishing with a final 14-3-2 record.

Emily Albers was named the MVP, Abby Gaydosh the Best Offensive Player, Adriana Ashford the Best Defensive Player, and Savanna Manger won the Coaches Award.
