Loramie boys win Kendig Memorial

PIQUA — The Fort Loramie boys golf team won its second tournament title in three days Wednesday afternoon, winning the 14-team Kendig Memorial hosted by Covington here at Echo Hills.

The Redskins, coming off a first-place finish at the Shelby County League preview on Monday and placing second at the Cardinal Invitational on Tuesday, again put together a strong team effort, with four golfers shooting in the 80’s and two others in the 90’s.

Zach Pleiman led the way for Loramie with an 83 while Shea Swick and Eli Rosengarten each had an 84, Mitchell Puthoff an 89, Craig Eilerman 91 and Jared Middendorf 96.

Anna was right back the Redskins in second by just one stroke as Eli Kuck and Mason Platfoot each carded an 83. Cole Maurer had an 86, Evan Bensman 89 and Isaac Cain 94.

MIAMSBURG — The Fort Loramie and Versailles girls golf teams competed against several Division I schools at the Miamisburg Invitational Tuesday at Pipestone.

The Lady Tigers finished third as Lauren Durham placed second individually with an 83.
