TROY — Sidney pianist Sharon Eriksen Geisler will present a solo recital in Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, 304 W. Main St., Troy, Wednesday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m.
Geissler maintains a private piano studio, accompanies the Sidney Senior Singers and Hardin-Houston High School choir and is the music minister for Pathway Open Bible Church. The program will include French Suite in G by Johann Sebastian Bach; Johannes Brahams’s Opus 118, nos. 4 and 5; Frederic Chopin’s “Nocturnes,” no. 21; “Maple Leaf Rag” by Scott Joplin; “Fantasy” Kochel 475 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Alexander Scriabin’s Prelude, Opus 11, no. 9 and Etude, Opus 2, no. 1; and “Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum” and Prelude from Pour le Piano Suite, both by Claude Debussy.
The program is free and open to the public.
