ANNA — Panel Control, Inc. (PCI) located in Anna, Ohio, specializes in the design and build of electrical control panels and custom cables. PCI was originally a division of Wells Brothers (established in 1989) that branched out as its own stand-alone company in 2010. Sandy Wells leads as the PCI’s president while Curt and Jerry Wells serve as vice presidents. Gregg Barhorst manages PCI’s operations and Joe Bodenmiller oversees the shop’s productivity/quality efforts.

PCI’s technicians have many years of skilled experience in the electrical control panel building & custom cable assembly fields. While the company designs and efficiently builds custom panels to meet its customers’ unique specifications, PCI also offers electrical installation, support services and custom enclosure painting to its customers. Our electrical panel building technicians are flexible enough to work both in the UL 508A certified Ohio-based panel shop or at the customer’s location.

Lisa Meyer, chief financial officer, has released the following 2022 report:

The year 2022 was one of steady growth in labor revenue for Panel Control Inc. While the current supply chain issues around the sourcing of electrical supply components continued to impact the entire industry, PCI’s existing customers continued to rely on PCI to fulfill their electrical control panel building needs with quality excellence. On top of serving its existing customer base, the company was also able to branch out and service several new customers in 2022. In addition, PCI purchased and installed an innovative Hoffman Steinhauer ModCenter that has optimized the machining of enclosure cut-outs and drill-holes. This new machine has enabled our team to provide more precise and higher quality enclosure cut outs as well as increased our technician’s ability to work more productively relative to this machine-enabled technology. We are also in the process of expanding our panel shop/warehouse facility to effectively accommodate our growing business.

In addition to growing the business and investing in new machine technology, 2022 was also a year of continued investment in its employees by the ongoing enhancement of the company’s “Culture.” PCI centers its culture on its endeavor to Walk in TRUTH TM Trust – Respect – Understand – Teach – Honesty. In addition to the many “Walk in TRUTH” culture enhancement sessions and training videos from the Company’s Chaplain, Father Nathan Cromly, PCI continues to live by its long-standing Mission Statement “I will treat the customer and my co-worker the way I want to be treated”.

As in year’s past, the key to PCI’s success can consistently be summed up in two words: Quality and Employees. PCI’s commitment to its customers is that every panel is built to the highest standards and is 100% quality inspected (enhanced even more by the addition of the ModCenter’s machining and our highly skilled technicians’ capabilities ). We are extremely proud of our employees’ continuous dedicated commitment to producing a high-quality product which enables PCI to stand out.

The company continues to work alongside the Workforce Partnership of Shelby County, the Upper Valley Career Center (UVCC) and many other local schools by providing learning opportunities and offering apprenticeships to students to collaboratively train highly skilled electrical panel building technicians. Along with hiring apprentices each school year, we are always looking to hire both full and part-time panel builders. Anyone interested in joining the PCI team can apply online at www.panelcontrolinc.com (under the Careers tab).

As we close out the year of 2022, we cannot forget to thank our amazing employees, customers, vendors, business partners and community. God has blessed PCI’s employees and business endeavors and we thank Him for such countless blessings. May God bless all with a joyful and prosperous 2023.
