SIDNEY — Members of the Senior Center of Sidney and Shelby County Board of Trustees voted to purchase directors and officers insurance during their Sept. 9 regular meeting.
The premium cost will be $750.
In other business, the board:
• Voted to inspect the sound system in the Senior Center building. It has not been working properly. The Senior Center Foundation has awarded $750 to the center to purchase a sound system for use by the Senior Center Singers.
• Heard a report by Darla Wilgas that in August, there were 917 members of the center including 15 new members; visits during the month numbered 3,314 with an average daily attendance of 123.
• Hear a report by Sidney City Manager Mark Cundiff that city projects are going well.
• Learned that carpet has been installed in the Senior Center lunchroom and that a request has been made to carpet a hallway, stairway, elevator and reception area.
