The lanes at Bel-Mar haven’t been much of a challenge for local bowler DJ Johnson this season.
Johnson bowled his fifth perfect 300 game of the season Tuesday night in the Bel-Mar Major League, bringing the total of 300 games bowled at Bel-Mar this season to an even dozen.
He started out Tuesday with a 238, then rolled the 300 game. He finished up with a 239 for a 777 series.
It was his ninth perfect game overall, and he continues to lead the area with a 237 average.
• Also, two Sidney High bowlers had big days this week in the Junior Boys-Girls League at Bel-Mar.
Austin Simon bowled a 740 series on games of 219, 276 and 245, and Josh Abbott added a 713 series on games of 232, 235 and 246.
They are 1-2 in average in the league, with Simon at 215 and Abbott close behind at 211.
