SIDNEY — Valera and Richard Slonkosky, of Sidney, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, April 7, 2016, by going out to dinner with their children.
Richard and the former Valera Brautigam were married April 7, 1956, in the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. The Rev. Hugh J. Wagner performed the ceremony.
Richard is the son of the late Charlotte and Frank Slonkosky. Valera is the daughter of the late R. Lowell and Gleneva Brautigam.
The Slonkoskys have three living daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and P. Anthony Streacker, of Findlay, and Pamela and John Huelskamp, and Jacqueline and Timothy Everett, all of Sidney; and a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Peggy “Kit” Slonkosky, of Sidney. Another daughter, Cynthia Huelskamp, is deceased. They have 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
The couple were farmers in Shelby County. They enjoy family activities.
