Strunks mark 45 years

SIDNEY — Sheila and Joseph Strunk, of Sidney, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary, July 24, 2016, at a family dinner.

Joseph and the former Sheila Davis were married July 21, 1971, in the Sycamore Avenue Church of God in Sidney. The Rev. Glenn Rowe performed the ceremony on a beautiful, sunny day. Witnesses were maid of honor Jean Strunk, the bridegroom’s sister, and best man Eddie Cole. The couple were high school sweethearts.

Joseph is the son of the late Opal and Ernest Strunk. He has two living brothers, Richard Strunk and Brian Strunk, both of Sidney. Another brother, Larry Strunk, and a sister, Jean Strunk, are deceased.

Sheila is the daughter of Russell O. Davis, of (), and the late Virginia E. Davis. She has a sister, Linda Knouff, of Sidney, and a living brother, Russ Davis, of Jackson Center. Another brother, Howard Davis, is deceased.

The Strunks are the parents of a son, Joseph Adam Strunk, and a daughter, Amanda Nicole Strunk, both of Sidney. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joseph retired from Earheart Petroleum. Sheila has been the supervisor of the Anna branch of Shelby County Libraries for 34 years. They enjoy camping, fishing, reading, movies and spending time with their family.
