SIDNEY — Janet and David Martin, of Sidney, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, Oct. 6, 2015.

David and the former Janet Fogt were married Oct. 6, 1990, at 4:30 p.m., in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sidney. Pastor Jonathon Schriber performed the ceremony on a beautiful, sunny, breezy, fall day. Witnesses were maid of honor Linda Fogt, Joyce Fishbaugh and Karen Adkins, all sisters of the bride, Leonard Stem, cousin of the bridegroom, Patti Steiner, best man Ray Lindsey, Nick Baird and Rob Lovett. The couple had met at a Vinterra winery, where Janet was employed.

David is the son of Joyce and Woodrow Dalton, of Sidney. He has two living sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet Vordemark, of Florida, and Kathy and Dan Brown, of Sidney; and three brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike and Linda Dalton, of Texas, and Melvin Dalton and Tim Dalton, both of Sidney. Another sister, Debbie Dalton, is deceased.

Janet is the daughter of the late Dorothy and Lowell Fogt. She has three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Linda Fogt, Joyce and Dave Fishbaugh, and Karen and Bob Adkins, all of Sidney; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Neil Fogt, of Sidney, and Dean and Jane Fogt, of Baltimore, Ohio.

The Martins have a daughter, Grace, at home.

Janet is employed by Dorothy Love Retirement Community as the director of housekeeping and laundry. David retired in 2008 as environmental services director of Fair Haven Shelby County Home.

They attend St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sidney and enjoy attending their daughter’s sporting and theater events, traveling and running.
