YORKSHIRE — Elizabeth and David Coons, of Yorkshire, have announced the birth of a son, John David Coons, born April 19, 2016, at 11:08 a.m., in the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

He weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 18 inches long.

He was welcomed home by his brother, George, 2.

His maternal grandparents are Denise and Gary Heitkamp, of Versailles. His paternal grandparents are Nancy and Jim Coons, of Versailles.

His great-grandparents are Betty and Bob Poeppelman, of Osgood, and Evelyn Simons and Kay and Edgar ‘Curly” Coons, all of Versailles.

His mother is the former Elizabeth Heitkamp.
