CONCORD TOWNSHIP — Alexis Marie Karel and Keith Lawson Bales, both of Concord Township, in Lake County, Ohio, have announced their engagement and plans to marry Aug. 5, 2016, in Concord Township.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Susan and James Karel, of Concord Township. She graduated from Lake Catholic High School in 2006 and from Tiffin University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She is employed by Marsh Berry and Co. in Woodmere as an event coordinator.

Her fiance is the son of Sheryl and Michael Bales, of Anna. He is a 2006 graduate of Anna High School and a 2010 graduate of Tiffin University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in sports management and marketing. He is employed by M.C. Mobility and D&S Automotive as director of marketing.
