Hospitals offer skin cancer screening

DAYTON — As part of Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, Dayton-area dermatologists will offer free skin cancer screenings to raise awareness of melanoma and other types of skin cancers during the week of May 9-13.

Morning and afternoon appointments will be available at locations throughout the region. Because space is limited, appointments are required. Screenings are available in Troy, Dayton, Springboro, Fairborn, and Centerville.

Screenings have been planned as follows:

May 9 and 11, 1-4:30 p.m., Wright State Physicians, Health Center, 725 University Blvd., Fairborn; May 10, 1-3 p.m., SureCare Medical Center, 360 W. Central Ave., Springboro; May 11, 8:30-11:30 a.m., Samaritan Sleep Center, 80 E. Woodbury Drive, Dayton; May 12, 1-4 p.m., Upper Valley Medical Center, Cancer Care Center/Dugan Infusion Center, 3130 N. county Road 25A, Troy; May 13, 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4:30 p.m., Miami Valley Hospital South, Suite 510, 2350 Miami Valley Drive, Centerville.
