Low attendance auxiliary problem

FORT LORAMIE — Members of the Fort Loramie American Legion Auxiliary Post 355 discussed low attendance at meetings during their April 10 meeting.

Although there are more than 164 members on the rolls, there were eight members at the meeting. Second District President Deb Meyer suggested that the group change its bylaws to lower a number needed for a quorum, but that action was not taken. Meyer noted that low attendance is a problem for many auxiliaries.

Eileen Barhorst reported that the club has a stock of 135 ditty bags.

Hilda Siegel reported that Rebecca Pinshot, of Russia, and Caitlin Bollheimer, of Fort Loramie, will be the post’s delegates to Buckeye Girls State in the summer. Hattie Meyer, of Fort Loramie, will be the alternate.

Lynn Crow exhibited poppy donation containers she had made.
