Martinez exhibit at library

SIDNEY — Elizabeth Martinez, of Sidney, is the artist featured in the art gallery of the Amos Memorial Public Library, 230 E. North St., during August.

Her work includes acrylic and watercolor paintings and pencil sketches. This year, her theme is religious. She has studied art at Edison State Community College, Gateway Arts Council and the Artist Cove.

She said, “I’ve displayed at Maria Stein recently, at Edison and Gateway. I have works hanging in New Mexico and all over the states including Hawaii.” Martinez has exhibited her work at the Amos Library for 30 years.

The exhibit is open to the public Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
