SIDNEY — The Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation has announced its sixth annual Operation Shelter Supplies, scheduled for Aug. 18 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Shelby County Animal Shelter, 1100 Clem Road, Sidney.

Area residents can donate supplies to SCARF for use at the shelter, meet the mascot, Scarfie, adopt pets and enjoy free doughnuts.

There is a specific need for medium dog collars, paper towels, bleach, kitten food, sturdy leashes, sturdy slip leads and gift cards from Pet Valu, Walmart, Amazon and Kroger.
