SIDNEY — People who participate in an upcoming downtown tour may have to contend with a prisoner in a strait jacket in their midst.

The “prisoner” will be on the Shelby County Historical Society’s popular, annual ghost tour. This year’s tours will depart from Courtview Center, 100 S. Main Ave.

Tickets are available for tours leaving at 6, 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, and Thursday, Oct. 11. Tickets cost $10 for historical society members, $12 for nonmembers, and $8 for students. They can be purchased in advance at the Ross Historical Center, 201 N. Main Ave.

Tours leave promptly at their respective times. People on the tour will learn about, among other things, a famous bank robber who once visited Sidney and how a young boy lost his life during a selfless act.
