SIDNEY — The Sidney American Legion Auxiliary will host its annual card party, open to the public, Oct. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the post hall, 1265 Fourth Ave.

Admission is $5 and doors will open at 12:30 p.m.

People are welcome to attend to play cards, dominoes or other board and table games.

Raffle tickets are for sale now and winners will be drawn during the event. Raffle tickets cost $5 for six tickets. They are available by calling 492-8542. Among the prizes are a year’s membership to the Senior Center of Sidney and Shelby County, a year’s membership to the Shelby County Historical Society and four tickets to the Gateway Arts Council presentation of “Simply Sinatra.” Cash prizes also will be awarded.

In addition to the raffle, door prizes will be distributed and food will be available.

Proceeds support the auxiliary’s projects for military veterans.
