SIDNEY — The 41st Annual Ohio Watercolor Society’s Art Exhibition will be on display in the art gallery of the Amos Library, 230 E. North St. through December.

Opening day of the show will be Saturday, Nov. 3.

This annual juried exhibition is open to Ohio residents, as well as members of Ohio art organizations living in neighboring states. This competitive juried exhibition is a showcase for talent, diversity and energy of artists working in water-soluble mediums: watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache and egg tempera. Awards of cash and materials totaling thousands of dollars make this one of the premier art shows in the state of Ohio.

The gold medal winner this year is Susan Kiedio, of Cleveland. Michael McEnroe is the silver medal winner, and bronze medal winner is Vivian Ripley, of Upper Arlington. The exhibit also includes a painting by Jackson Center artist Dan Knepper. Many of the paintings are for sale and a portion of the purchase price benefits the library.

“We are delighted to be the host for the 41st annual Ohio Watercolor Exhibition for November and December.” Suzanne Cline, library director, said. “We hope people in our community will take the time to stop in and enjoy the 33 wonderful paintings that are included in the show this year.”

Amos Library is handicap accessible and admission to the display is free. It is open to the public Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“The Ring” by Susan Kiedio, of Cleveland, the Gold Award winner of the 2018 Ohio Watercolor Exhibition, will be on display with other exhibit entries from Nov. 3 through December at the Amos Memorial Public Library in downtown Sidney.
