J’Sienna Trimble, 7, of Sidney, daughter of Leah Sloan and Josh Sloan. “I think when it’s cloudy it’s going to rain. I hope it will stop. When it stops me and my sister will jump in the puddles.”

David Rossman, 12, of Sidney, son of Lisa Alvetro and Tom Rossman. “During the middle of fall people were predicting that this winter was going to be worse than last year and when I go outside it’s really mucky. I’m praying that someday it will snow and I’ll be able to go sledding.”

Jaysmyn Phinney, 14, of Sidney, daughter of Leslie Hughes and Tim Hughes. “It’s unusual because of where we live. This time of year we’ve usually had a big snow storm. It feels like fall but without the leaves and there’s no snow so it doesn’t look the same and it’s giving me more time to do my science fair project.”

Ethan Stiver, 10, of Sidney, son of Jason and Gwen Stiver. “I think it’s pretty warm to be winter. Doing more outside this year than I usually do. Playing baseball.”
