SIDNEY — The Shelby County commissioners have awarded a contract to K2M Design Inc., of Columbus, to provide architectural services for a redesign of the prisoner intake area of the Shelby County Jail.

The award was made during a recent regular meeting of the board of commissioners.

In other business, they:

• Awarded a contract to Ruhenkamp Farm Drainage Inc. for the 2018 sewer pump station and force main replacement project. The contract is in the amount of $235,299.80.

• Adopted a resolution declaring opposition to State Issue 1.

• Entered into an enterprize zone agreement with Custom Foam Products Inc., NSSM Real Estate Inc. and the village of Fort Loramie.

• Opened and took under advisement five bids for the Fair Road bridge reconstruction project.
