Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — Sidney City Council will meet Monday, Jan. 25, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

Council will consider adoption of ordinances to levy special assessments for the construction and repair of sidewalks, to assess the cost of demolition of a dangerous building at 899 Hayes St., and to amend the ordinance regarding the Sidney Tree Board.

Council also will introduce an ordinance that would amend regulations regarding license application and requirements for peddlers, and will consider resolutions to reappoint Karl Bemus to the Civil Service Commission, to reappoint Merrill Asher to the Stormwater Appeals Board, and to authorize the city manager to enter into a housing revolving loan fund administration agreement with the Ohio Development Services Agency.

Council will discuss regulating placement of garbage cans.

In an executive session, council will discuss discipline of a public employee, preparing for negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees, pending or imminent court action, and the purchase of property for public purposes.

Jackson Center Village C0uncil

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. in council chambers.

They will vote on a resolution authorizing the village administrator to advertise for bids for the WWTP improvement project. They will also lead a discussion about trash bags and recycling containers.

The council will also vote on ordinances that would enact the 2016 Model Ohio Municipal Code for the village. They will also vote to approve a street project. The project is described as, “Enhancement to the Village, on Main Street from the North to South Corporation Limits, to create a safer environment for children by installing street lighting, eliminating obstructions and enhancing the view for drivers and pedestrians.”

Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY — The Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Washington Township House, 2562 Hardin Wapakoneta Road. The purpose of the meeting is for reorganization of the board for the 2016 calendar year.

North Central Ohio Solid Waste Management District

BELLEFONTAINE — The Board of Directors of the North Central Ohio Solid Waste Management District will have its regular quarterly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 27, beginning at 9 a.m. It will be held at the Ohio Hi Point Career Center, TECH Center, 2280 State Route 540, Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Downtown Revitalization Task Force

SIDNEY — The Downtown Revitalization Task Force will meet Wednesday, Jan. 27, at noon at the Bridge restaurant, 127 W. Poplar St.

The meeting will include reports on Heritage Ohio and Sidney Alive.

Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services

TROY — The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services will meet Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 6:45 p.m. at 1100 Wayne St., Suite 4000, Troy. The meeting was rescheduled from Jan. 20 to Jan. 27 because of the weather.

Shelby County Regional Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Regional Planning Commission will meet Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the commissioners’s meeting room at 129 E. Court St.

Items on the agenda include a nominating committee report, appointment of member-at-large to the executive committee, approval of surveys, the director’s report and the final budget review/approval and personnel review.
