SIDNEY – Health Commissioner Steven Tostrick brought revisions of the current Personnel Policy Manual before the Board of Health during its Sept. 18 meeting.

The manual has not been revised since 1997. Tostrick also presented a quote for the revision from Clemans Nelson & Associates Inc.

The board requested more quotes for the next meeting on Oct. 16.

Troy Kies, 12165 Lochard Road, Sidney, was granted a variance to build within 8 feet of the home sewage system. The standard, set by the state of Ohio, is 10 feet.

Cody and Lindsey Alexander, 20170 State Route 47, Maplewood, were issued an order to remain vacant.

The board discussed issuing a copy of the Ohio Code that is in question to people requesting a variance.

The Sidney-Shelby County Health Department will give flu shots by appointment beginning Oct. 2. The Health Department is located at 202 W. Poplar St., Sidney.

The next board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 16.
