WAPAKONETA — Auglaize County voters will see several contested races and one issue on the March 15 Primary Election Ballot.
Residents in the Waynesfield-Goshen Local School District will get to vote for a one percent income tax renewal levy for current expenses for five years.
Voters will choose between Republican candidates Kristina Hahn and Dawn James for Waynesfield Member of the County Central Committee. For the Wayne Township Member of the County Central Committee, voters will choose between Democrat candidates David Barton, Amber Turnmire and Joshua Turnmire. Voters will choose between Democrat candidates Joseph Monbeck and Donald Smith for the Duchouquet Township East Member of the County Central Committee.
For the 12th District Man Member of the State Central Committee, Republican candidates Keith Cheney and Frank Reams will face off. For the same position for the woman, Becky Engel and S. Ranae Lentz will challenge each other.
For the 1st District Woman Member of the State Central Committee, voters will get to choose between Republican candidates Cheryl Blakely and Cheryl Buckland.
For Judge of the Third District Court of Appeals, Republican candidates William Zimmerman, Amy Ikerd, and Richard Palau will square up.
A contested contest will also be held between Republican candidates for Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. Voters will choose between Pat Fischer and Colleen Mary O’Toole.
Republican candidates Daniel Lee and Donald Regula are running against each other for a commissioner seat for the county.
For the State Representative for the 82nd District, Republican candidates Tony Burkley and Craig Riedel will face off.
For the 12th District Ohio Senate seat, voters will choose between Republican candidates John Adams and Matt Huffman.
Democrat voters will choose between Janet Garrett, Norbert Dennerll, Jr., and Daniel Johnson for the Fourth District U.S. Congress seat.
For a seat on the U.S. Senate voters will choose between Democratic candidates Kelli Prather, P.G. Sittenfeld and Ted Strickland and Republican candidates Don Eckhart and Rob Portman.
And of course for Republican candidate for president voters will see on the ballot: Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, John R. Kasich, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, and Donald Trump.
Although Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul, and Rick Santorum have officially suspended their campaigns.
On the Democrat side voters will see Hillary Clinton, Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente, and Bernie Sanders on the ballot.
