SIDNEY — The FISH Christmas Store, located at 1126 W. Michigan. (two buildings east of the main store) opened Saturday, Nov. 2, for the holiday season. It will be open through Saturday, Dec. 21. Hours of operation for the season will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon. Trees, wreaths, ornaments, lights, and a huge variety of other Christmas items are available for purchase at very reasonable prices.
Also, in operation is FISH’s main store at 1128 W. Michigan. Hours of operation for the main store are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon. The office for assistance is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Assistance is limited to residents of Shelby County. Donations may be made anytime during open hours. FISH is a 501c3 not for profit organization.
All items offered for sale are donations FISH received through the generosity of the community. The proceeds from sales are used by FISH to help qualifying residents of Shelby County with food, clothing, prescriptions, steel toed shoes, slip resistant shoes, gasoline, diapers, personal care items, and state of Ohio replacement birth certificates.
All staff at both locations are volunteers. FISH is seeking additional volunteers interested in making a weekly commitment to work in the store and join in its mission of helping others in the community. People interested in finding out more about FISH’s volunteer opportunities or to fill out an application are encouraged to stop by the main store.
