Camper injured at Lake Loramie in fair condition

FORT LORAMIE — A camper was injured during storms at Lake Loramie State Park on Wednesday.

Adam Garlinger, 30, of Marengo, was camping with family during an annual trip when strong winds toppled a tree. Fort Loramie Rescue Squad and Natural Resource officers were able to free Garlinger from the fallen tree. He was taken to the hospital with injuries to his hip and back. He is currently in fair condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Park visitors and overnight guests are advised to be aware of weather conditions and seek appropriate shelter when severe weather arises.
