SIDNEY — Three local counties are now “yellow” on the COVID-19 health advisory system.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced Thursday that Shelby, Auglaize and Mercer counties went from orange to yellow. Yellow means the cases per capita have dropped below 50. Yellow also means there’s active exposure and spread in the counties.

Twenty-five counties — including Shelby, Auglaize have dropped below the 100 case mark on the highest occurrence chart. The data collected is from March 3 to March 16.
