VERSAILLES — Poultry Days will have plenty of chicken available this year. In response to demand the board has increased the chicken order from 35,000 to 38,000 halves and the numbers of cookers to 10. They plan to have 26,450 individual dinners available for purchase at the festival June 11-13, 2021. Individual dinners are in addition to bulk cooler sales. The board anticipates strong demand and wants lots of happy people.

Don’t wait to place your bulk order. Poultry Days only has 79 coolers of bulk chicken left for sale on Friday, 87 for Saturday and 28 for Sunday. When those coolers are sold bulk sales will close for that day. All bulk sales are prepurchase only at VersaillesPoultryDays.com. Coolers are available for pick up on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and for delivery on Friday by noon (minimum purchase of two coolers) within 25 miles of Versailles. This includes Greenville, Troy, Sidney, Minster, New Bremen and Piqua. When picking up your cooler please use the new bulk chicken pick up line which will be located at 280 Marker Road.

Individual dinners will cost $9 and is sized for a single meal with half a chicken, Mike-Sells potato chips, Roll, Butter, Applesauce and the traditional Chilly Willy Orange Drink. Individual dinners can be purchased in our drive thru or walk thru chicken lines. The chicken lines operate 3:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Both lines are located at 459 S. Center St., Versailles and have a combined capacity of 3,000 dinners per hour. We hope to have dinners available through supper each night but demand is unpredictable and we can sell out early.

Tickets can be purchased online at 1984creative.com or in Versailles at Johns IGA, Versailles S&L or Park National Bank. Online sales of individual tickets will end on May 15th and in person sales of individual tickets will end on Wednesday, June 9. Individual dinner tickets will continue to be sold at the festival in both the drive thru and walk-thru chicken lines.

Poultry Days will be following all local and state guidance when assembling and distributing chicken dinners as it relates to the health and safety of our guests. If in the unfortunate event that local restrictions prevent the sale of chicken, all pre-sale will be 100% refundable.
