SIDNEY — The annual Sidney Daily News cookbook will have a different look to it this year.

“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to cancel the annual cook off for the second year in a row,” said Natalie Buzzard, general manager. “We looked at different options of what we could do to give our readers the annual cookbook.”

This year’s cookbook is a “best of the best” featuring the top recipes from the first year the cookbook was published in 1985 through 2002. The grand prize winners, along with the category finalists’ recipes are included in the cookbook.

“We know how much our readers look forward to the cookbook every year and we wanted to continue the tradition this year,” said Buzzard. “We are already making plans to feature the winning recipes from 2003 to 2020 in the 2022 cookbook, along with some new recipes from our readers.”

The cookbook will be published on Friday, Dec. 10, in the Sidney Daily News. Additional cookbooks may be ordered by calling 937-538-4819 or emailing an order to Sharon Ike at [email protected]. Cookbooks will be $1.50 each plus shipping and handling. Payment must be included with the order. The deadline for ordering cookbooks is Monday, Dec. 6.
