SIDNEY — After a 2-year hiatus, the volunteers of Master Gardeners of Shelby County are once again offering a series of four programs, free and open to the public. There is no need to pre-register. All programs will take place from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at Amos Memorial Public Library’s Community Room in Sidney.
The schedule for the series is:
Thursday, April 21, 2022 – Ready, Set, Grow! – Doug Benson will help you prepare for a new gardening season. Explore seed and plant choices.
Thursday, May 19, 2022 – To Spray or Not to Spray – Matt Schmerge will explain how to safely and effectively use both chemical and organic pesticides and herbicides.
Thursday, June 16, 2022 – It’s About Thyme – Janet Nelson will discuss which herbs grow best in our gardens and how to use and preserve them.
Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022 – Divide and Conquer – Steve Stone will explain how to divide perennials and how to select bulbs for fall planting.
