Commissioners discuss bids and new subdivision

SIDNEY – The Shelby County commissioners approved phase three of the creation of the Deer Crossing subdivision and handled bids in August and September.

Phase three of the subdivision includes 8.268 acres. The neighborhood will have 22 lots and is located east of Minster and adjacent to Lake Loramie.

The commissioners opened two bids for the Eilerman Road Pump Station Rehabilitation on Aug. 23 and awarded the contract to Culy Contracting for $138,345.46 on Sept. 1. Bids for the Sheriff’s Building Flooring Project were authorized on Sept. 6 and bids will open on Sept. 29 at 11 a.m.

Payments toward weekly expenditures were approved totaling $1,168,807.24 (Aug. 18), $295,980.04 (Aug. 25), $2,799,519.52 (Sept. 1), and $432,479.76 (Sept. 8).
