MINSTER — Each year, children from across the United States inspire the masses through the God, Flag & Country oratorical contest. Youth ages 10 to 15-years-old create original three-minute speeches centered around what God, flag and/or country means to them and perform on various levels for a chance to participate in the National Finals, held annually at the F.O.E.’s National Convention.

Cricket Wuebker of Minster was the first place winner at the State God, Flag and Country Oratorical Speaking Competition on Saturday, April 30. Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles Erie 1391 made a donation to fund traveling expenses for her and her family so she may represent Ohio in the National Competition held in Reno, Nevada on July 16. Wuebker has advanced to the national level by winning in the 14 to 15 age group at the local, regional, zone and state level.
