NEW BREMEN — To honor their resident veterans for Memorial Day, Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen Executive Director Kim Prueter and her staff arranged a day trip for them and their guests to visit the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum in Dayton.

Appromately 30 residents, guests and Elmwood staff enjoyed a two-hour, guided tour of the museum and a picnic lunch at the Memorial Park on the grounds of the museum.

“Wright-Patterson was very accommodating and made sure everyone had a wonderful time. The emphasise was on World War II and the Korean War galleries, as all of Elmwood’s veterans served in those eras. This brought back many memories for our veterans. All in all, everyone had a great time and we hope to make it an annual event,” Prueter said.

Attending were Army veterans Roman Buening, John Kremer, Jerome Osterloh, Robert Prenger, Thomas Seigle, Francis Thobe and William Willman, Air Force Exchange veteran Chuck Lampy, and guests Ruth Kremer, Chuck Kremer, Chad Henning, Norbert Albers, Chris Prenger, Karla Prenger, Greg Herman, Benjamin Herman, Nick Bruggeman, Gene Voisard and Chris White.
