Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — Sidney City Council will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

Council will be introduced to a new police officer and will witness the presentation of a Lifesaving Award.

Council also will consider resolutions to grant a license to Raise the Roof for the Arts for installation of a transformer and conduit and to authorize that a proposal be submitted to the Ohio Department of Transportation for capital improvements at the Sidney City Airport.

Council will discuss aggregation rules of governance and an update on collection of solid waste.

In an executive session, council will consider the purchase of property for public purposes.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the village offices.

Council will discuss stormwater issues, trash bags, a proposal for Hamer Street, and a village sign.

Council will go into an executive session to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate and pending litigation.

Fort Loramie Village Council

FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie Village Council will meet Monday in regular session at 8 p.m. in council chambers.

Council will give second reading to an ordinance that would control what types of trees may be planted on curb lawns.

Council will also consider payments to Tom’s Construction for work on several projects, a resolution to award a grading project for Redskin Memorial Park, changes needed in the village income tax ordinance to comply with Ohio HB 5, and an annex request.

Shelby County Coalition on Aging

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Coalition on Aging will have its membership meeting Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. in the Ohio State University Extension office, 810 Fair Road.

Fairlawn Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Local School Board of Education will meet Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 122 at the school. The board will consider employment and service contracts for employees, accept resignations, and accept a bleachers bid.
