MINSTER — The Minster Civic Association will have its monthly meeting at the Wooden Shoe on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 6:30 p.m. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m.
An update will be given on the YMCA capital improvement campaign.
The Minster Continue the Excellence Committee will be giving a short presentation on the upcoming levies on this year’s ballot and can field questions.
Robert Lammers will be the guest speaker. He will speak to Midmark’s history in Minster from 1915 to the 1980s. Midmark recently celebrated their 100th anniversary and Bob spearheaded the publication of their anniversary book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the dinner. The cost will be $10, retail is $34.95. All funds collected will be donated to Minster’s “Mission of the Body & Blood” which donates medical goods and equipment to Haiti.
After his presentation the group will watch the second of the two videos produced in the past by Midmark dealing with Minster’s History up to 1975.
The third video is in the final stages of production.
This meeting is a spouse’s night. Members are encouraged to bring their spouses.
