NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville Historical Society will be celebrating Autumn Heritage Day on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The center’s complex is located behind Katterheinrich’s Motor Sales and is comprised of five buildings filled with New Knoxville and surrounding area’s history.

As in the past years, Mike’s open fire kettle chili will be available for everyone to enjoy as an afternoon lunch. Served along with the chili will be cookies, crackers, donuts, and cider.

The New Knoxville High School band will play a short concert at 1:30. At 2:30 children in grades kindergarten through sixth-grade may participate in a scavenger hunt and games. Also the Hoge Brush Co. gymnasium will be open with displays depicting New Knoxville’s civic groups such as the boy scouts, girl scouts, NKYAA, and Kiwanis.

Stop by at the Heritage Center for an entertaining afternoon, a bowl of chili, music, and civic displays.
