Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY — The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Monday at 4 p.m. in City Council chambers.

The board will consider a request by Brian and Nikki Jutte for a variance for a reduced rear-yard setback at 292 W. Pinehurst St. The requested variance is to accommodate a proposed 1,222-square-foot addition.

The board also will consider a request by Ratermann Custom Home Builders, on behalf of Darren and Deborah Wildermuth, for a variance for accessory structure square footage over 1,000 square feet at 2440 Wells Drive. The requested variance is to accommodate a proposed 660-square-foot accessory structure

Sidney Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Sidney Board of Education will meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the board office.

The board will consider annual appropriations, amendments to lease agreements, a contract for a school resource officer, and purchase of a scissor lift. The board also will act on numerous personnel hirings.

Fairlawn Schools Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Local School District Board of Education will hold a special board meeting Monday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 122 at the school. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the possibility of purchasing property adjacent to the school site.

Hardin-Houston Board of Education

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education will meet Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. in the media center. They will approve monthly financial reports and expenditures for August and approve appropriations. They will also deal with personnel issues and approve the 2015-2016 Houston High School and Hardin-Houston Elementary School goals.

Jackson Center Board of Education

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Board of Education will meet Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. They will consider an update of board policy, including college credit plus, admission of exchange students, and released time for religious instruction.

They will be holding a public hearing for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school calendars. They will go into executive session to consider the employment of public employees. Then the board will consider the employment of several coaching positions. The superintendent will then discuss the OSFC Project.

Sidney Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Sidney Planning Commission will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. in City Council chambers.

The commission will consider a request by Trent Snavley, on behalf of Charles Cole, for the annexation of 25.249 acres of land on the north side of Fair and Schenk roads. The purpose of this annexation is to make the property available for development with city utilities and services.

Anna Village Council

ANNA — The Anna Village Council will meet on Tuesday Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. in council chambers at Village Hall. They will read several ordinances and vote on an emergency resolution to re-allocate appropriations. Village officials will give their reports.

In old business they will discuss the South Pike Street village sign location and the Ohio Municipal League Conference. In new business they will discuss policy-pay raises for certifications.

Downtown Revitalization Task Force

SIDNEY — The Downtown Revitalization Task Force will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at noon at The Bridge restaurant, 127 W. Poplar St.

Business will include Heritage One update of activities and opportunities, historic districts proposal, 501(c3) designation, Community Improvement Corp., and a Strategic Planning Committee update.

Shelby County Regional Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Regional Planning Commission will meet Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 12:15 p.m. in the second floor meeting room at 129 E. Court St.

Items on the agenda includes approval of surveys; hearing Director Dianna Reisinger’s report. She will discuss the Formula-13 grant files; the bids received for Formula 14 project which is for water tower mixers at Fair Haven and Arrowhead subdivisions; CHIP-13 and CHIP-15 programs.

Edison Community College Board of Trustees

PIQUA — The Edison Community College Board of Trustees meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 2:30 p.m. at the college.

The board is expected to approve a resolution reinstating the usage of Edison State Community College as the college’s official name. The approval of the 2015-16 annual goals is also on the agenda. Chair Tony Wendeln will present the finance/audit committee report.
