VERSAILLES — A Versailles man died Friday night after he suffered a medical emergency, fell off a riding mower, and was trapped under the vehicle, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

A preliminary investigation revealed that John Magoto, 78, had a medical emergency while mowing his yard at 10646 Wolf Road.

Sheriff’s deputies, Versailles Rescue and Fire were dispatched to the scene at 10:30 p.m. The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Darke County Coroner’s Office.
