MANSFIELD — Have a tree that you pass on a regular basis and always wondered what it is? Own a woodland and want to know exactly what trees you have? The Name that Tree workshop is designed to give participants in-depth training and practice on identifying trees using leaves and other common characteristics. The class begins indoors with introductory identification clues and samples. A dichotomous key is included with the fee. The afternoon is spent outside identifying trees.
The Ohio Woodland Stewards Program will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the OSU Mansfield Campus, 1760 University Drive, 100 Ovalwood Hall, Mansfield. The cost is $35, which includes dichotomous key, packet of corresponding literature and lunch.
