Sheriff’s log

THURSDAY

-2:01 p.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched to 18567 Kenter Road in Dinsmore Township on the report of a possible identity theft.

WEDNESDAY

-5:56 p.m.: trash dumping. Deputies responded to the 22000 block of Maplewood Road in Salem Township on the report someone in a silver van dumped trash.

-4:49 p.m.: suspicious person. Deputies were dispatched to Patrick’s Pub & Grill on state Route 29 in Van Buren Township on the report of a suspicious male.

-3:23 p.m.: vandalism. Deputies were dispatched to 16500 Wones Road in Jackson Township on the report someone destroyed the caller’s well casing.

SUNDAY

-9:15 a.m.: criminal trespass. Nathanial Aaron Craft, 22, 516 N. Ohio Ave., Sidney, and Leann Faye Lowe, 20, 339 1/2 Highland Ave., Sidney, were both served a summons for criminal trespass after Deputies responded to a harassment report in the 22000 block of Lock Two Road, in which Craft was reportedly riding a four-wheeler in front of the caller’s property.

When deputies arrived, they were advised and observed Craft and Lowe on a four-wheeler in a waterway moving toward a wooded area off of a property at 21908 Lock Two Road.

The renter, their family and guests of the residence at 21908 Lock Two Road are not permitted by the property owner to go back to the waterway and the wooded area of the property, therefore Craft and Lowe were charged with criminal trespass.

THURSDAY

-7:58 a.m.: suspicious vehicle. Fort Loramie Police responded to 58 Elm Street in McLean Township on the report of a suspicious, red, four-door Ford.

WEDNESDAY

-4:11 p.m.: suspicious car. Botkins Police was dispatched to Only Believe Ministries on Botkins Road in Dinsmore Township on the report of a suspicious car.

Crashes

No one was cited after a one-vehicle crash on Monday at 5:28 a.m.

Austin Tyler Ward, 17, of Sidney, was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 when he failed to negotiate the curve due to heavy rain and continued southwest off the south side of the road before coming to a stop in the ditch.

• Harold W. Fouts, 47, 302 New St., Sidney, was cited with failure to control after a motorcycle crash on Friday, July 13, at 9:36 p.m.

Fouts was operating a motorcycle westbound on Port Jefferson Road when he struck the curb on the right side of the roadway, laid the bike over and was ejected.

The 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Brian’s Towing.

Fouts was transported by Sidney Medics to Wilson Health.

• George Stewart, 73, of Stantonville, Tennessee, was cited with failure to yield at stop or yield after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, July 14, at 3:50 p.m.

Stewart was stopped at a stop sign on Kuther Road at Millcreek Roada but then accelerated toward the south in front of an eastbound vehicle on Millcreek Road, which prompted it to go off the roadway to in an attempt to avoid a collision with Stewart’s vehicle.

The other vehicle was driven by Michael L. Snow, 33, 5616 Smith Road, Houston.

Snow was transported by a private vehicle to Wilson Health for evaluation after the crash.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-8:25 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 11500 block of state Route 66 in McLean Township.

WEDNESDAY

-5:53 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 16300 block of Wones Road in Jackson Township.
