Sheriff’s log

SATURDAY

-3:09 p.m.: vandalism. Deputies are investigating a report of vandalism in the 3000 block of River Road.

-9:10 a.m.: property damage accident. Deputies investigated a property damage accident at state Route 48 and state Route 66.

-8:46 a.m.: property damage accident. Deputies investigated a property damage accident in the 15000 block of Kirkwood Road in Orange Township.

-7:44 a.m.: accident with injuries. Deputies investigated an accident with injuries at Fessler Buxton and Loramie Washington roads.

FRIDAY

-6:22 p.m.: accident with injuries. Deputies are investigating an accident with injuries at the overpass at state Route 29 in Clinton Township.

Fire, rescue

SATURDAY

-6:35 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was dispatched to the 400 block of East College Street in Jackson Center.

-9 a.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue was dispatched to the 7000 block of Tawawa Maplewood Road in Perry Township.

-5:43 a.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue and Port Jefferson Fire were dispatched to the 3000 block of Sidney Freyburg Road in Salem Township.

FRIDAY

-9:33 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was dispatched to the 18000 block of state Route 65.

Accidents

Robert Allen Harris, 16, of Sidney, was cited for failure to yield while turning left following an accident Thursday at 3:52 p.m.

Harris was traveling south on state Route 66 and was turning into a parking lot at 6382 State Route 66.

A vehicle driven by Vernon J. Ahrns, 61, 7733 Galley Road, Fort Loramie, was traveling north on state Route 66. Harris turned in front of the Ahrns vehicle.

Harris told the deputy he didn’t see the other vehicle because the sun was in his eyes.

Harris was transported to Wilson Hospital by a private vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

• No citations were issued following a one-vehicle accident Thursday at 3:42 p.m.

Coleson Joseph Watren, 17, of Piqua, was northbound on River Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle exited the road to the right and Watren over corrected the vehicle causing it to rollover. It came upright in a ditch.

The vehicle was disabled and was towed from the scene.
